Allison Coleman is a specialist in Copyright, Intellectual Property and Information Law, with particular emphasis on Copyright and IP in the digital environment, and Copyright in Education and for Libraries, Museums and Archives.
She is a former Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, where she taught Intellectual Property and Information Law, International Copyright and Trusts. She is the author of around 50 publications, including Burrell and Coleman: Copyright Exceptions: The Digital Impact, published by Cambridge University Press in 2005.
From 2003 to 2005 Allison was the Director/Chief Executive of two internet companies which ran projects funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the Welsh Assembly Government, and provided expertise for the culture and heritage sector in Wales on digitised materials from the collections of libraries, museums and archives.
